Bass Race - "Crystal Paradise"
Los Angeles’ Bass Race really hit the nail on the head when they came up with the title for their latest single, “Crystal Paradise.” It’s quite descriptive in the best way possible, as on the track, they manage to create a crystalline sonic playground that’s littered with rich synth textures and deep, vibrant harmonics. The duo, which is made up of real-life couple Steve Mertens and Laura Benack, seems to thrive on the chemistry they’ve developed from over a decade of collaboration, as just about everything on the song sounds and feels perfectly in sync. There’s also a real funky and soulful undercurrent that runs through the entire song, which may induce toe-tapping. Pair these vibes with the unique “visualizer” video that they shared for the song and you’re in for quite the trip.
